The versions of this policy in force are the English and Thai versions. Vietnamese and Chinese versions are not available at present. If you open this page in another language, the text you are reading is the English version. If any part of it is unclear to you, please contact us at info@taitam-d.com.
1. Scope
This policy covers paid enrolments, how payment and access work, receipts, cancellations and refunds. Free courses are outside it, because there is no payment to refund.
Your contract is always with 1 VERAD GROUP LTD, even where the course is taught by another academy in our network. We take the payment, we issue the receipt, and we are responsible for refunds under this policy.
2. Pricing, Taxes, and Fees
- All prices are shown in GBP.
- Any tax or fee that applies is shown to you before you confirm payment. The price you see at the final step is the amount you pay us.
- Your bank or an intermediary bank may charge a transfer fee or apply its own exchange rate, which is outside our control. If that means we receive less than the course price, we will contact you before going any further.
3. Payment and When Your Access Starts
We currently accept bank transfer only. We do not take credit or debit cards. The steps are:
- You choose your course and we show you the bank details to transfer to.
- You make the transfer and upload your payment slip.
- A member of our team checks your slip against the money actually received. This is done by a person, not automatically, so it can take from a few hours to a few working days.
- Once it is approved we issue your receipt and your order is complete. When your access opens depends on what you answered at checkout — see section 5.
If you asked us at checkout to start straight away, we open your access as soon as your payment is approved. If you did not ask, we do not open it straight away — the law does not allow us to begin providing a service inside your cancellation period unless you have asked us to. You can ask at any time from your My Learning page and get in immediately, and if you never ask, we open your access for you once the 14 days are up.
Uploading a slip does not by itself open your access. If we cannot confirm the payment we will tell you why, and you can send new evidence or get in touch.
For a free course you get access immediately and none of the above applies.
4. Receipts
Once your payment is approved you can download your receipt from your order page, and we may also send it to your registered email address.
Your receipt is issued by 1 VERAD GROUP LTD — our registered company name rather than our trading name — company number 17062296.
5. Your Right to Cancel and Get a Refund
Under UK consumer law you have the right to cancel your enrolment within 14 days, without giving any reason.
- The 14 days run from the day we approve your payment — not the day you transferred the money, and not the day your access opens. If checking your slip takes a few days, your 14 days start later too.
- You get all of your money back. We will not deduct anything for the lessons you have already worked through during that time — even in the cases where the law would let us keep a proportionate amount.
At checkout we ask you one question. Ticking it is your choice, and you can buy the course either way. These are the words you see:
- “I ask you to start providing what I have bought as soon as my payment is approved, without waiting until my 14-day cancellation period has ended, and I acknowledge that I will lose my right to cancel once everything in this order has been fully provided to me.”
- If you tick it: Until then you keep your right to cancel. If you cancel before everything has been fully provided, you get all of your money back — we deduct nothing for the part you have already had. And once everything in that order has been fully provided to you, your 14-day right to cancel comes to an end.
- If you leave it unticked: Ticking this is optional. If you leave it unticked you can still buy, and your full 14-day right to cancel stays with you — but we will not open your access straight away. You can ask for it at any time from your My Learning page and get in immediately, and if you never ask, we open it for you once the 14 days are up.
- If your order was placed before we started asking this question, we treat it as never having been asked — not as a yes. You keep the full 14-day right and a full refund.
After 14 days that statutory right ends. You can still ask for a refund and we will consider it on its merits — particularly for illness, serious personal circumstances, or where we have not been able to deliver what we promised.
If you have already been registered with an external awarding organisation such as VTCT and we have paid that registration fee for you, we will always tell you the amount before we do so, and we will not take it out of your refund unless you agreed to that beforehand.
Nothing on this page limits your legal rights as a consumer. If what we provide does not match how we described it, you have separate legal remedies on top of this 14-day right.
6. How to Cancel and Claim Your Refund
There is no cancel button in the system yet. To cancel, email us at info@taitam-d.com. Your cancellation counts from the day you send that email, even if we reply later.
Please include the following so we can act quickly:
- the email address on your account
- your order number, or the name of the course you enrolled on
- the bank account name and details you want the refund paid into
- How we refund: by bank transfer back to the account you paid from. Because we only take bank transfers, there is no card to refund.
- How long it takes: we will refund you within 14 days of you telling us you are cancelling, which is the longest the law allows us to take.
- If your bank charges a fee to receive an international transfer, that fee is outside our control.
You may use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to. Any clear statement that you want to cancel — by email, or in any other written form — is enough.
Model Cancellation Form To: 1 Verad Group Ltd, trading as Taitam-D Academy London, 1 Highbarrow Close, Purley, Surrey, CR8 2JX, GB, info@taitam-d.com I/We [*] hereby give notice that I/We [*] cancel my/our [*] contract for the supply of the following service [*]: Course: ______________________________ Order reference: ______________________ Ordered on [*] / received on [*]: ______________________ Name of consumer(s): ______________________ Address of consumer(s): ______________________ Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper): ______________________ Date: ______________________ [*] Delete as appropriate.
7. If Something Goes Wrong With a Payment
If you think a payment has gone wrong — you were charged twice, the amount is wrong, or you paid and did not get access — please contact us first at info@taitam-d.com. We will check it against our bank records and come back to you.
While a payment dispute is unresolved we may pause your access to the course until we have finished checking.
If we cannot put it right, you can raise it with your own bank, or get advice from a UK consumer body such as Citizens Advice.
