Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Taitam-D Academy London platform (the "Service"), including account registration and login, browsing courses, paid enrolments and payments, access to learning content, receipts, certificates, and community features (such as comments/Q&A) where available.

These Terms become a contract between you and us when you open an account and tick the box to agree to them. If we make a material change, we may ask you to agree to the new version before you carry on using your account (see section 13). You are welcome to browse our courses without an account.

• Account: your registered user account on the Service
• Content: videos, lessons, documents, quizzes, resources, and other learning materials
• Course: any course/class/program offered through the Service
• Order: a purchase/enrollment transaction
• User/You: anyone accessing or using the Service
• UGC (User-Generated Content): content you submit or post (e.g., comments/questions/files)

1. You must provide accurate and current information when creating an Account and keep it updated.
2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your Account.
3. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at info@taitam-d.com.
4. This service is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. If you are under 18, you cannot open an account, and a parent or guardian cannot open one on your behalf.
5. When you open an account you confirm that you are 18 or over. We rely on that confirmation. If we are told, or have reason to believe, that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will follow up and close it where necessary.
6. Our Privacy Notice (POL-PRIV) explains how we use the information you give us when you open and use your account.

We may use verification measures (such as email/phone OTP) to help secure Accounts. Verification codes may expire and have retry limits.

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for your personal learning purposes, within the access rights granted to you by your enrollment/purchase.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, resell, or exploit Content without permission
• Share your Account or allow others to access paid Courses through your Account (unless expressly permitted in writing)
• Bypass access controls, paywalls, or attempt to access Courses you have not purchased/been granted access to
• Interfere with the Service, attempt to hack, probe, introduce malware, scrape unlawfully, or send spam
• Post illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, infringing, deceptive, or dangerous content (see Community Guidelines)

All intellectual property rights in the Service and Content are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use Content solely for your personal learning in accordance with these Terms.

Purchases/enrollments are governed by Purchase / Refund / Cancellation Policy (POL-REFUND). You should review it before payment. Receipts/invoices (where applicable) will be made available for download and/or email to your registered email address.

1. You are responsible for your UGC and must ensure it complies with laws and third-party rights.
2. By submitting UGC, you grant us a license to host, store, display, and process it to operate the Service.
3. We may remove, restrict, or moderate UGC that violates our policies or applicable law.
4. Reporting and moderation follow Community Guidelines (POL-COMM).
5. If your UGC includes personal information about you or anyone else, our Privacy Notice (POL-PRIV) explains how we handle it.

9.1 Closing your account

You can delete your account yourself at any time. On your Profile page, open the Security tab and choose Permanently delete my account, then follow the 2 steps on screen. On the last step, type DELETE to confirm.

Your account closes straight away and you are signed out. After that, you can no longer sign in with it or open the courses you bought through it, and it cannot be reopened.

Deleting your account does not cancel an order or give a refund. If you want to cancel a paid enrolment, please do that first, as set out in our Purchase, Refund and Cancellation Policy (POL-REFUND).

When you delete your account, we remove your name, email address, phone number, postal address and profile details from our records.

Some records stay, because the law or the awarding organisation requires us to keep them, or because they prove that your certificate is genuine: orders and receipts, assessment records and evidence, issued certificates, and the record of what you agreed to.

Section 8 of our Privacy Notice (POL-PRIV) explains exactly what we remove and what stays, and section 7 says how long each kind of record is kept.

9.2 Suspension and termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your access (in whole or in part) if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or policies, there is suspected fraud or security risk, or we are required to do so by law. Where appropriate, we may provide reasons and an appeal route via the Help Center.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service and may perform maintenance that causes downtime. We will try to provide notices where reasonable.

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).

If you are a consumer in the UK, you may have statutory rights under UK consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

You have the right to cancel a paid enrolment within 14 days and receive a full refund, with no deduction, even if you have already started studying. The full detail is in our Purchase, Refund and Cancellation Policy (POL-REFUND).

If you asked us at checkout to start straight away, your right to cancel ends once everything in your order has been fully provided to you. The full detail is in POL-REFUND. In every case, we do not deduct anything for lessons you have already worked through.

We may update these Terms and will display the new version and effective date. Material changes may require you to re-accept before continuing.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless consumer law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
