Alumni Benefits

An alumnus is someone who has previously studied with any academy on this platform. Every academy here is part of the Taitam-D network, so it does not matter which one you studied with.

Alumni status is a property of a person: it belongs to that individual and cannot be transferred. Every benefit on this page therefore belongs to the person the academy has confirmed, and to nobody else.

This page covers benefits offered by Taitam-D Academy London only. Other academies in the network may run their own schemes, which this page does not describe.

Right now, the alumni benefit is that you can take Health and Safety in the Salon at no charge.

That applies to this one course. All other courses are charged as normal.

The academy may add further alumni benefits later. If it does, they will be set out on this page.

Benefits do not apply automatically. You submit a request, the academy confirms your status, and the benefit follows from that confirmation.

Confirmation is a decision made by academy staff, not an automated check.

The request channel is at the foot of this page. You will need to be signed in to your own account, because alumni status belongs to one person.

The form asks for the things that help a member of staff place you: the name you used when you studied, roughly when, what you studied and who taught you, and how the academy contacted you at the time.

You attach at least one of four things: a photograph of yourself, a photograph of an old certificate or receipt, a photograph of your class, or a photograph of a message between you and the academy at the time. Any one of them is enough, and which one is your choice.

If what you send is not enough for the academy to confirm your status, it will tell you what is missing, and you can apply again.

Anything you send in support of a request — documents or images — exists so that a member of staff can reach a decision. Once the decision is made, the academy deletes it.

What is kept is the record of the decision: who made it, when, what they decided, and what they relied on — so that it stays possible to show the status was genuinely confirmed.

If nobody has decided within ninety days of your request, it lapses and what you sent is deleted just the same. That is not a refusal, and you are welcome to apply again.

If a confirmation turns out to have been made in error, the academy can withdraw the status. The reason is recorded, and you are told.

The academy has not set a closing date for this free-of-charge benefit.

If a closing date is set, it will be announced on this page before it takes effect. This page is the reference for the terms of this offer.

Any change to these terms updates the version number and effective date shown above.
